Are you making the best of your day?

Before you get out of bed tomorrow, lie back and work out how you want your day to go. Yes plan it in your mind.

If you read what Cicero wrote, I think you can get a fair idea of maybe how you can direct your "Mind" and day, becoming "More" of a person with each day becoming enriched.

CICERO, the famous Roman philosopher and statesman, wrote this over 2,000 years ago.

SIX MISTAKES OF MAN:

(1) The delusion that personal gain is made by crushing others.
(2) The tendency to worry about things that cannot be changed or corrected.
(3) Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it.
(4) Refusal to set aside trivial preferences.
(5) Neglecting development and refinement of the mind, and not acquiring the habit or reading or studying.
(6) Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do.

Gandhi said…….”Be the change you want to see in the world”.

Take each "Mistake" and really think about it and see if any of them apply to you and if so how you can change them.

Lets take number (5) and look at it in depth.

How long is it since you read anything that will enrich your mind?

Or even how long is it since you read a book at all?

Do you only feed your mind rubbish?

You will find charismatic people and leaders always stand guard over the doorway of their mind and feed it continually on good quality enriching words and works.

So many fail to see that self development is vital in order to grow and become more. Many of them use flimsy excuses, like "I am too old now", "my husband won't let me", "my wife won't let me", "Oh! I don't have time you know what it is like, kids, work", we all know the story... ...or they completely shut off with "Arghhhh I haven't read anything not even a paper since I was at school"

I think Cicero all those years ago, had the right thoughts, and today they are still relevant, when you "Stand guard at the Doorway of your mind" and feed it and nourish it, you will become more confident and "Grow" as a person, which in turn will affect all those around you, like a positive tidal wave! Especially your children.

You are Captain of your own ship and master of your own fate - plan each day with time for you to "Become" More.
